Achievements, Resolutions and Bucket Lists

Hello PPB's

Firstly HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I can't believe its already 2014! 2013 went so quickly I'm sure you all agree! Okay so Blogmas was a complete fail! I was really ill during December and  after that I just had no motivation to do a post.

Anyway a new year is all about new beginnings and creating bucket lists for the year to come so I though I would share mine with you :)

First I want to start with what I've achieved during 2013, Its always good to look back at the good things you have done during the year before looking at what you want to change in the year to come :)

My Achievements for 2013...
  • I got a Promotion at work to Senior sales, I was only part time before and so to get this position made me so happy and determined to do it well!
  • I got my dream car a Mini! Christmas last year I remember saying, 'this time next year I will be driving to see the family in a Mini' it happened! :)
What have you achieved in the last year?
My Resolution for 2014...
To make more time for my friends and family.

I (and I'm sure some of you) found myself stuck in a boring routine this year with work. Get up go to work come home, bath go to bed ready for work the next day and since being promoted this has just got worse. This year I'm going to make sure I see my friends even if its just going for dinner in the evening or popping round for a cup of tea and a chat

Whats your new years resolution?

My Bucket List for 2014...

  1. Start a YouTube channel.
  2. Reach 1000 readers on my blog (I need your help for that one).
  3. Move out with the BF.
  4. See a musical.
  5. Get back into dancing.
  6. Bake all the cupcakes recipes in the book I got for Christmas.
  7. Learn to speak Italian.
  8. Go on Holiday to somewhere HOT!!
  9. Go to Paris.
  10. Re-read all the Harry Potter book.
  11. To run at least 2 more giveaways.
  12. To comment on at least 2 blogs everyday.
  13. To take more photos everyday.
So there we go. My list of things to do this year! I really hope I get to do them all! I guess we will find out in a years time! :)

Whats on your Bucket list??

Thank you for all your support though out this year and I really hope you all stick with my for the next year too, your comments and tweets make blogging even more fun than it already it! :)

Is there any post your want to see on my blog this year? leave me ideas in the comments! :)

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Hello PPB's

Lets start with a Christmas decoration update :)
Yay I got a little Christmas tree! Its the one from Tesco but I got the £10 one rather than the £3 because it was bigger and looked so much better :) I love it! It came with the lights, star and baubles and then I added the little silver bits :) We are putting the big tree up on Monday :) Bring on Christmas films and Christmas music! :) I love putting the tree up because we use all the decorations me and my brother made when we were little so its fun to find things again and remember the stories behind them :)

I went shopping today with mum to pick up some Christmas presents, but I ended up buying the outfit I'm going to wear on the big day :) I will do an OOTD to show you it complete :) Its mainly from topshop :) I also got Mr Bubles Christmas album for the car, it just had to be done.

Here is a sneaky look at my outfit :)
Sorry its not a great picture my camera wouldn't focus! so annoying! but cute right!!

I also went to Matalan and found some adorable boots, but I'm going to get them online because they have 30% off when you spend £50+ and I couldn't find anything in store so obviously turning to the inter-web! haha :) You can see the boots just click on the work 'Boots' up there ^^ :)

So just a quick chit chat post today :) Make sure you go and enter my Christmas giveaway! HERE It ends of Christmas Eve.

Have a lovely Thursday evening ladies I'm off to have a Lush bath, I'm going to use the melting Penguin! So cute! :)

Gifts, Cocktails and Farewells

Hello PPB's

So I'm sat watching XFactor and thought it was a perfect time to type todays Sunday Rambles post! :) I hope you have all had a good week, have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I have started to plan and know a few things I'm getting, its pay day tomorrow so that when I will start buying things, I get so excited about giving people what I have brought them, especially when I know they are going to LOVE what I've got them! haha Anyone else the same?

Speaking of Christmas I have a works Christmas meal last night, we all got dolled up and went to have dinner and cocktails. :) I had to take pictures with my phone because I forgot my camera so there not the best! But here are just a couple :)
Love these ladies! It was a good night full of laughs and secrets spilt Are you going out for a works do?
My dress is from Primark and is £15 I love it! So simple and perfect for winter and summer! I can tell I will be wearing it a lot! There is also a green tartan dress in there and I'm going to go and get that one at some point too! :) I'm pretty much Tartan obsessed at the moment! I want a tartan coat, anyone know where I could find one?
I also picked a new Yankee Candle tart this week, I don't have a photo because I couldn't wait to start melting it, I got Spiced Orange... O...M...G It is seriously my new favourite Yankee smell. I smelt it a few weeks ago and fell in love but I couldn't find it in a tart anywhere, I have started liking tarts more than actual candles, I find the smell to be lighter and they pretty much last just as long and cost so much less then a candle, Tarts are like £1.75 I think. Whats your Christmas scent this year??

I hope you all have a good week this week, I have got the next 2 day off and then I say goodbye to Indi (at the end on right) because she is off Travelling America with her BF, so we are going to wagamams for lunch on Wednesday and that's also the day Christmas shopping will begin with force! :)

Lots of Love

Cupcakes, Cars and Woolly knits.

Hello PPB's

How are you all this week? All snuggled it warm clothing I hope! How cold has it got seriously, have you heard its meant to snow next week!! Time to get the mittens out I think!
This is my last Sunday off work for the next 5 weeks! :( I hate working Sundays, they are meant to be PJ days with bad food and good films! Today being a perfect example, I'm in my Pj bottoms with the bf's Knitted jumper and I'm watching Ice Age 2 :) How do you spend your Sundays?

I've decided to put my week of instagram on Sunday Rambles too now, I love seeing what people post and its the best way to see what people have been up to during the week, leave me your instagrams in the comments or tweet me them!
So I didn't actually post a lot this week, I'm normally always putting pictures up!
Picture one -  is of my attempt of a Xmas cupcake haha! I was going to do a whole post of these but they really didn't turn put great, as you can see! I used the same idea that Anna Saccone  used to make her ghost ones during Halloween! The cakes themselves turned out really well but the decor not so well, can you even tell what its meant to be? haha
Picture 2 -  I've finally got a car that works and hopefully isn't going to brake down on me!! I've always wanted a mini and I thought if I don't get one know I probably never will because there not exactly a good family car, so while its just me and the bf I just went for it! :)
Picture 3 - You all know if you read my last post how much I love Christmas jumpers and the bf got me this one, how cute is it?! its from River Island Mens and is £38. I named the little penguin Percy :) It's so warm!!
Picture 4 - The bobble hats are back!! I'm pretty sure you will all know about 'The Big Knit' with Innocent smoothie :) for AgeUK. When I was picking a hat I felt like when everyone looked for their names on coke bottles haha searching through them all to find one I really liked! :) The smoothie was Mangoes and passion Fruit! :) I'm drinking it now and its so good!!

Who else is excited the I'm a Celeb starts again tonight?! I love it, Can't wait to get my cup of tea maybe some cake... and curl up on the sofa and watch it! :)

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Have an amazing week!

My Summer Essentials 2013

I am seriously loving this weather! It really is true, the sunshine does make people happier, the people I have spoken too recently are all so smiley :) haha

So now that summer is finally here, everyone is getting out their idea of summer essentials and they are all different! :) Here are mine!
BTW If I have already posted a full review on a product I will link it so I don't repeat myself! :)
I find in the hotter weather I use a lot more dry shampoo, My hair gets greasy at the best of times but in the summer it happens so much quicker, but I don't want to have to wash my hair anymore than normal, so Dry Shampoo becomes my best friend! I have always used Batiste and this year decided to try the Sassy & Daring Wild one, Honestly I don't really know if I like this one, it makes my hair feel sticky! However I know a few people who have used these for years and this year just aren't getting on with them...New Formula maybe?
Staying with hair I have recently become addicted to salt sprays So quick and easy to use making mornings less stressful, also it means I can get out in the sun quicker and for longer. FULL POST
Moving onto nails, I pretty much always have my nails painted in summer! Actually I pretty much ALWAYS have my nails painted, however obviously colour choices change in each season! :) My all time favourite summer polish is BarryM's 'Berry' a beautiful lilac purple colour! My newest favourite is Essie's 'Mademoiselle' very pale pink, perfect with a tan! FULL POST
I have lost count of how many sunglasses I have got, but this summer these are my favourites! They are from Matalan. I love them...Plain and simple! :)
Moisturiser is very important in hot weather! keep your skin hydrated! I have been using Nip+Fab Coconut Latte, I got this in a recent GlossyBox, at first I really didn't like it, the smell is so sweet, but on the skin the smell is so nice! I also really like the fact that its not a white cream, its brown, I always find with pale skin a white cream makes me skin looks whiter however this really doesn't, if anything I find it makes my skin look a little more sun kissed!
Staying on the moisturiser theme, I only like to use gradual tanning products. I find Fake Tans really hard to use on my pale skin, they just never look good! So I have been using 'Garnier Body' 'Summer Body' I have it in the colour 'Deep Sun-Kisses' Purely because I used the light one last year and just didnt see any change. This year I have.
Oh look back to hair haha, if I don't want to use a salt spray because it can be quiet drying for my hair and its pretty dry already, I use Aussies 'Aussome Texturising + conditioning gel spray' I use this if I can going to leave my hair to naturally dry just sprat it all over the 'crunch' your hair in your hands and leave it dry. :) Just as quick and easy as a salt spray just not as drying for the hair! :)
I good Perfume I think is a must for summer! and my favourite is Chanel Mademoiselle, actually its make favourite all year round, its and all year round must have! :)
I mentioned body moisturisers but always remember to use one on your face and my favourite atm is Nivea Day cream, I just use it under foundation if I use it, or even just on its own, I never want a lot on my face when its hot, or I just feel like I'm... well...melting haha!
Staying with face products, I like to use the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream, light coverage, light on the face and it has SPF 30 in it! Perfect! :) I normally just put a loose powder over the top to set it abit and off I go. :)
I need a good book to read while I'm enjoying the sun in my garden. The book I'm reading this year is called 'Dead Scared' and its by S.J Bolton. It's a murder mystery kind of book and its always based in Cambridge, which I didn't know until I started to read it!...I live in Cambridge btw thats why thats relevant haha.
I leave you with blue sky! :)

What are your summer essentials?

Don't Forget!

Lets have a chat...

Hello Lovelies :)
So today's post is just a little chit chat post, I have been so busy with work that I just haven't had the time to plan and write any posts for this week so I just thought I would open my laptop and just type and see where it goes. I like reading posts like this so why not write one myself.

Well first of all I want to say a massive THANK YOU and HELLO to all my new wonderful readers! Its always makes me day when I log on to see comments or new followers! Just makes it all seem so worth while! I mean I write my blog because I love to do it and share what I love with you guys but it feels so good to know that people read it and want to read more! :) Its a good feeling. I know I promised a 200 followers giveaway and that's still going to happen, I'm just trying to decide what to giveaway...its harder than I though! and also how to run the giveaway, any tips?

Oh so I went out on my lunch break today with a plan to go and find some new shoes, the ones I have for work have really seen their day! I came back with this..
I think oops is the right work to use! I have been looking and researching bronzers for ages now and I just couldn't find one that I liked, I had been recommended to go and try the BareMinerals ones for ages but i always thought they looks too dark, you all know how pale my skin it!! But I popped into John Lewis and went to talk to the lady there, she was so lovely and helpful! I will do a full review on this if you want after I have used it but I'm so excited to start using it! I think I might get my everyday pressed powder from them as well, they all looked amazing as well! This little gift box cost £30 but if had just purchased a single bronzer it would have been £24 so for an extra £6 I got a double bronzer and lip balm and the brush! Amazing if you ask me :D
Have any of you ever tried BareMinerals product if so whats your favourite?

I also recently brought a new Essie polish! It's not very exciting but Its perfect for work, we have a very stricked dress code and sadly I can't get bright colours :(
Its Essie's 'Mademoiselle' just a really pretty natural colour, it gives the illusion of 'naked' nails as I like to call it, but I just think this makes them look healthier...agree? I also got an Essie 'no chip' top coat which so fair has been amazing! again I will be doing a review soon! :)

So after a long and stressful 2 weeks these have made me feel a bit better! I have a week off starting Saturday and it can't come soon enough! I'm exhausted!!

I hope you have all had a good June so far! and making the most of the sunshine when it decides to show its lovely face! :)

My next post should be an empties post so keep an eye out for that on Friday! :)

Lots of Love

The Seven Deadly Sins || Tag

Hello lovelies! :)
I have seen this tag going around bloggers and youtubers for a while now and decided it was my turn :) I love doing tag posts! I find they so interesting and its always fun to find out more about the person your reading! (if that makes sense) haha.

1. Greed: What is your most Expensive Beauty Item?
I think its my 'SmashBox Photo finish Luminizing Primer' It cost £25 and I love it! Worth every penny if you ask me! :) It is also the first Smashbox product I have ever used and its made me want to try more!! Recommend anything I need to try??

2 Wrath: What Beauty item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Eyeliner!! I love the look of winged eyeliner and if it goes right I love how it looks on me, but I just can't find a good eyeliner that doesn't either smudge or wear off really quickly, its so frustrating!! I have tried gel, liquid and pencil eyeliners from loads of brands I just can't seem to find a good one that I can work with!

3 Gluttony: What brand makes up the biggest chunk of your make up collection?
MAC!! Mostly made up from lipsticks! I can't go into MAC without buying a lipstick! I also love their 'blot powder' Its a must have in my make up bag. Sadly this is all I have left of my current one...
4. Sloth: What product do you neglect to use due to laziness?
Primer! and don't I always regret it half way through the day! It really does make a difference! I am currently loving Beautiful Movements Prime & Create mixing medium, I got it in Mays Glossy Box, It has so many uses!! I am thinking I might do a full post on it! :)

5. Pride: Which Beauty product  gives you the most confidence?
A good Lipstick! I always feel so much better if I have a bright good quality lipstick on! Well that one was very easy! :D haha My favourite go to feel good lipstick is MAC's 'Girl about town' I did a post on it a while ago! HERE

6. Lust: Which Item is at the top of your beauty wish list?
Has to be Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation! It's been at the top for a very long time and I'm pretty sure it will be there for a very long time! haha...one day it shall me mine! :)

7. Envy: Which make up product/looks look great on others but not on yourself?
Smokey eye looks! I have small eyes and if I do a smokey eye look I just end up looking like I have been punched and my eye has swollen! I just can't get it to look good on me! But it always looks amazing on everyone else I see.
Can I have 2 for this one? Please?
Okay
Bronzer!! I can't find one that looks good on my skin! Having pale skin really doesn't suck sometimes!! In the winter I love it cause blushes good and give my that 'doll' look but in summer I just look like I have been in a dark room everyday all day and no bronzer looks good on it! it just  makes me look orange, or leaves me with very obvious contour lines! HELP!!!

Ah I loved writing this tag post! :)
I tag you all to go it! and make sure you link me yours in the comments! :)

Lots of Love

May GlossyBox || 2nd Birthday

Its that time where every blogger basically does the same post but showing what they got in the current months glossybox, That's why I don't normally do this post, however I am so happy with what I received this month that I just really wanted to share! :)
I was so surprised and happy to have got 4 full size products this month!

Awapuhi Wild Ginger - Okay so I have no idea how to say that nore have I heard of this brand before, but I have to say I am so excited to try this out. This product claims to leave all hair types feeling soft, silky and hydrated, also to restore weak and damaged hair. It seems pretty simple to use as well, either spraying it onto already styled hair as a finisher or to use it while heat styling. I really hope this lives up to my expectations! If it does it may end up being a re-purchaser! Full size - 125ml - £18.95
Beautiful Movements Cosmetics (BM Beauty) - When I first say this I was like erm okay...what is that!! haha but it sounds amazing. From reading the description, it is an aloe Vera based gel that can be used as a primer to create a matte finish, mixed with powder blushes and bronzers to create a cream consistency, or used with eye shadow pigments to create liquid eyeliners. Personally I am going to try it as a primer and to create cream blushes! This could turn into a must have in my make up bag! Full Size - 20g - £20
Headline Colors - To be honest this is the only product I am abit disappointed with, I received it a black and I really can't wear black, with my pale skin it just doesn't work, I have to day I never seem to have much luck when it comes to nail polishes in Glossybox, I always seem to get the colour I can't wear or would never wear...oh well! Full Size - 10ml - £9
Collection Fast stroke eyeliner - I wouldn't call this a 'highend' product with it only costing £2.99 however I have only ever heard good things about this eyeliner, I don't wear a lot of liquid eyeliner but when I go out I do like to use it to create a More dramatic eye, so I guess we will see how I get on. This is also another full size int he box! Full Size - 6ml - £2.99
Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara - I can't remember if it was the last box or the box before, we received a red lip stain in it from this brand and I love it!! So when I saw a full size mascara from the same brand I automatically had high hopes and had to try it straight away.
I love it!! It creates such a like natural lash! not clumpy and it makes my lashes look lovely, thick and long! BTW please ignore the awful eyebrows i am trying to grow them out atm lol...its really not a good look!
Anyway back to the mascara! I really do think I will repurchase this! I am so impressed with this product and brand! Full Size - £15
Last but not least there was a glossybox special of lots of little nail files! perfect to my bag and just so cute! :) Oh and there was a mini Green & Black dark chocolate bar, which a gave to my mum because I don't like dark chocolate but nether the less a lovely little finish!

Happy 2nd Birthday GlossyBox!!

Lots of Love

Would you rather || Beauty Edition || Tag

I saw this tag on the lovely Becky's blog lipgloss-and-lashes go and have a read of her answers! :)

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipgloss' or all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Well I don't really wear many eyeshadows and I only have about 2 palettes I would rather lose them than pretty much all my other make up!!

Would you rather chop of all your hair or never be able to get it cut again?
Definitely never cut it again! my hair takes forever to grow so if I cut it all off I would have to stay inside int he dark with no mirrors for about 5 years to it to get anywhere near where it is now! Also short hair really doesn't suit me! *grow hair grow*

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Pretty much every blush I own is pink so this is easy haha Pink obviously! although I do really want to try some coral blushes...let me know if you know of any good ones! :)

If you have £1000 to spend would you rather buy clothes or make up?
Although most of my blog posts are about make up I would much rather buy lots of clothes! Most of them would obviously come from Zara as well! You all know how obsessed I am with that shop!

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Well you can use an eyeliner for lip liner, okay it wouldn't look good but it would look at lot better than putting lipstick on your eyes right?!

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
We don't have Sephora in the UK so I don't really have a choice here haha it has to be MAC.

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour our one lipstick colour for the rest of your life?
Like I said before I don't really wear eyeshadows, but I'm addicted to lipsticks and pretty much wear a different one everyday, so its got to be the one colour of eyeshadow everyday! I could cope with that...I think!...

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Obviously being from England Summer isn't really that hot and if it is it only lasts about a week, So I would much rather wear winter cloths in summer and always carry a fan with me and where dresses, skirts and shorts in winter! I would probably become a statue from being so cold!

Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year around?
Bright nails! A good bright nail always cheers me up and also makes any outfit look good! love a good statement nail! :)

Would you rather give up your favourite lip products or your favourite eye products?
I think this on is actually pretty hard! Even though I don't wear much eyeshadow I do love a good mascara...but then I do adore a good lipstick ahh...erm I think I would rather give up my favourite lip product, I cant give up mascara!

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or in a messy bun?
Messy bun! I love a good messy bun! :) If my hair is up its always in a messy bun!

Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I always have nail polish on so I really don't think I could give that up! Also I really don't like the look of nails without something on them..even a clear coat just to add a bit of shine.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none or sharpie them on everyday?
OH wow! I would hate both of these!! But seriously I would look so strange without eyebrows (who wouldn't!!) So I would rather sharpie them on, I'm sure there would be a colour that wouldn't look awful right?!...

Would you rather live with out make up or nail polish?
Okay this is the hardest question for me! I hate going out of the house without make on but like I said I hate naked nails....ahhh erm..I guess I would get used to not having nail polish on, I don't think I would leave the house very much if I couldn't wear make up.

Well that's it :) I hope you liked this post! :) It actually made me really think!! haha If you do it make sure you leave me your links below!!

Lots of Love
