Hello PPB's

With a new year starting there are always products that will be leaving behind and the ones that will be moving into the new year with you. I'm going to do two posts, whats coming with me (this one) and what I will be leaving behind. :)

This year I really have found some gems that I know will be a must have in my make up bag for many more years to come, here is whats on top of my list.

  1. Estee Lauder Double Wear consealer.
  2. Mac Viva la glam 1
  3. Coco Chanel Mademoiselle
  4. Bare Minerals Mineral veil loose Powder
  5. Mac Rebel
  6. Essie Bahamama
  7. Redken Extreme Repair
  8. Real Technique brushes
  9. Lancome Hypnose Doll eyes mascara
This year I tried out a lot more high end make up brands and I have really fallen in love with all of them. What can I say Make up is an expensive hobby!

Whats making the move into 2014 with you?

Sprinkle of Christmas Nail Glitter!

Hello PPb's

It's Monday again! BOO, but for me its a day off Yay! :)  and we are putting our tree up today! hopefully I'll post pictures tomorrow :) But today is all about nails and glitter! The Perfect combo!
This is my favourite Essie polish the perfect plumb if you ask me and I got the Deborah Lippmann in a glossybox so not sure what its called. This is also my favourite top coat, my nails used to last maybe 1 day 2 if I wasn't at work, but with this they last a good week in with minimal chipping :)
I do a base coat of clear, two coats of essie 'Bahama mama' then one coat of the Glitter then do a top coat.
I like to leave 10-15 minutes between each coat, I know that sounds like a long time but I find if every coat is completely dry when applying the next, a) it drys so much quicker at the end and b) it lasts longer because its completely cry through, also make each coat a thin coat, drys quicker and will look neater in the end. :)

I love this colour and its perfect for Christmas and its subtle for work because I'm only aloud to wear 'reds'

Whats your favourite colour for Christmas nails?

Did you know I'm hosting a giveaway? If not here it is :) It ends Christmas Eve, win 3 full size Soap and Glory products :)

My Autumn Essentials - Nails

Hello PPB's <3
I hope you're all wrapping up warm now the weather has started to get colder! I have decided to turn my Friday posts into 'Favourite' posts, where I share my essentials and favourite products :)
I'm going to start by doing a series called 'My autumn essentials' :) each week I will share products I love during autumn! :)

Starting with as you can tell from the title of the post! NAILs!!
I have to admit that I much prefere a dark nail colour than I light one, I honest don;t really think light colours look good on me anyway, so knowing that you will probably already know that autumn is my favourite season for nail polish! :)

Here are my 7 favourites! :)
1) Essie - bahama mama - This colour is stunning! and also the newest member of my nail polish collection! I love deep plumb purples all year round but I think they are just perfect for Autumn, a very elegant colour and goes with everything!
2) Essie - a list - Ox red is my go to colour for this time of year an easy colour to wear and suits everyone! i have fallen in love with Essie polishes too! The application is amazing and they last so well.
3) Sally Hansen - so much fawn - A dusty pink I think can look stunning during Autumn perfect with a white/cream thick knit jumper! So cute and girly! Also its so the only pink I can wear, baby pinks really don't suit me.
4) Sally Hansen - firey island - Orange is my all time favourite colour for autumn, also its the colour that most suits my skin so I wear it when ever I can. This one is the perfect burnt orange colour perfect for Halloween!!
5) Barry M - grey - Pretty self explanatory, grey I think is a very sophisticated, elegant nail colour, perfect for a working day, a lot less gentle than a harsh black nail.
6) Barry M - Raspberry - Burgundy is also one of my all time favourites for autumn, it just makes me happy!
7) - Barry M - red glitter - Well come on who doesn't love a bit of glitter this time of year! Helping you get into to....yup I'm going to say it....Christmas spirit! :D

So there are 7 of my favourite colours to wear during the autumn months moving into the colder winter months too.

What are you favourite colours to wear?

OOTD - TKMaxx Summer Dress

Hello PPBs,
How has everyone's summer been? I've been at work alot of the time but when I've been free I have made the most of the sun! :) Sorry there hasn't been any posts the past 2 post days, I have been feeling a bit uninspired so I decided just to take a few days off, I didn't want to post just because I always do, blogging is my hobby and I love it I don't want to turn it into a chore!

Anyway onto the point of the post! :)

I went to a BBQ at the end of last week and I wore this dress, It was a lot colder that night than it was today so I wore it slightly different to how I did that night, but I really love this dress. Its perfect for now with the floral pattern with some sandals or because of the colouring of the dress I'm also going to wear it in winter with some tights and little angle black boots and a snuggley cardigan! :) Oh it's from TKMaxx btw and if I remember rightly it was around £15, It might still be in a few stores so if you like it make sure you go and have a look!

I just wore it with my New Look brown sandals and brown plait belt and my new Zara mini city bag, I'm going to do a full post on the bag because I'm in love with it! :) On my nails and toe nails (matchy matchy) I have No7 Damson Dream 100 and on my lips is MAC Viva Glam 1. I am loving deep reds for the season change!

I hope you like it!
I hope you like it as much as I do! :)

Don't forget to follow me everywhere else to keep up with what I'm up to and new posts! Links are all over in the side bar! :)

Just a quick question before I go, I have been think about doing a post on dealing with Arthritis at a young age, I wanted to know if anyone would be interested in it or would find it helpful in anyway, I would love for you to let me know in the comments your thoughts.

Thank you lovelies!

My Summer Essentials 2013

I am seriously loving this weather! It really is true, the sunshine does make people happier, the people I have spoken too recently are all so smiley :) haha

So now that summer is finally here, everyone is getting out their idea of summer essentials and they are all different! :) Here are mine!
BTW If I have already posted a full review on a product I will link it so I don't repeat myself! :)
I find in the hotter weather I use a lot more dry shampoo, My hair gets greasy at the best of times but in the summer it happens so much quicker, but I don't want to have to wash my hair anymore than normal, so Dry Shampoo becomes my best friend! I have always used Batiste and this year decided to try the Sassy & Daring Wild one, Honestly I don't really know if I like this one, it makes my hair feel sticky! However I know a few people who have used these for years and this year just aren't getting on with them...New Formula maybe?
Staying with hair I have recently become addicted to salt sprays So quick and easy to use making mornings less stressful, also it means I can get out in the sun quicker and for longer. FULL POST
Moving onto nails, I pretty much always have my nails painted in summer! Actually I pretty much ALWAYS have my nails painted, however obviously colour choices change in each season! :) My all time favourite summer polish is BarryM's 'Berry' a beautiful lilac purple colour! My newest favourite is Essie's 'Mademoiselle' very pale pink, perfect with a tan! FULL POST
I have lost count of how many sunglasses I have got, but this summer these are my favourites! They are from Matalan. I love them...Plain and simple! :)
Moisturiser is very important in hot weather! keep your skin hydrated! I have been using Nip+Fab Coconut Latte, I got this in a recent GlossyBox, at first I really didn't like it, the smell is so sweet, but on the skin the smell is so nice! I also really like the fact that its not a white cream, its brown, I always find with pale skin a white cream makes me skin looks whiter however this really doesn't, if anything I find it makes my skin look a little more sun kissed!
Staying on the moisturiser theme, I only like to use gradual tanning products. I find Fake Tans really hard to use on my pale skin, they just never look good! So I have been using 'Garnier Body' 'Summer Body' I have it in the colour 'Deep Sun-Kisses' Purely because I used the light one last year and just didnt see any change. This year I have.
Oh look back to hair haha, if I don't want to use a salt spray because it can be quiet drying for my hair and its pretty dry already, I use Aussies 'Aussome Texturising + conditioning gel spray' I use this if I can going to leave my hair to naturally dry just sprat it all over the 'crunch' your hair in your hands and leave it dry. :) Just as quick and easy as a salt spray just not as drying for the hair! :)
I good Perfume I think is a must for summer! and my favourite is Chanel Mademoiselle, actually its make favourite all year round, its and all year round must have! :)
I mentioned body moisturisers but always remember to use one on your face and my favourite atm is Nivea Day cream, I just use it under foundation if I use it, or even just on its own, I never want a lot on my face when its hot, or I just feel like I'm... well...melting haha!
Staying with face products, I like to use the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream, light coverage, light on the face and it has SPF 30 in it! Perfect! :) I normally just put a loose powder over the top to set it abit and off I go. :)
I need a good book to read while I'm enjoying the sun in my garden. The book I'm reading this year is called 'Dead Scared' and its by S.J Bolton. It's a murder mystery kind of book and its always based in Cambridge, which I didn't know until I started to read it!...I live in Cambridge btw thats why thats relevant haha.
I leave you with blue sky! :)

What are your summer essentials?

Don't Forget!

Sally Hansen - So Much Fawn 260

Firstly thank you so much to everyone that has followed through bloglovin, I now have 110 of you wonderful people reading with bloglovin! :)

Anyway onto todays post! :) My local boots has just got a Sally Hansen counter, and well I couldn't resist! I have only ever used their top coats and nail treatments, never colours so I had to get at least 1 haha! I picked one called 'so much fawn'
The colour itself so beautiful! A lovely dusty pick colour and I love how it looks against my pale skin! Its got a perfect formula, thick enough to get away with one coat, but not too thick as to go clumpy on the nail. The wide brush makes application so much easier and quicker as well! Dry speed is pretty average, but if you have their instadry top coat that doesn't matter.

The packaging looks very professional, simple and clean, and the bottle size is very good, you get alot of product for your money. They are £6.00 from boots and are currently in the 'buy 1 get 2nd half price' offer! Here There are so many colours to choose from!

So first impressions on Sally Hansen colour polishes = Excellent, I know my bank account isnt going to love them quite as much though!
Have you tried any of the Sally Hansen colour polishes? Whats your favourite?

Don't forget to follow through bloglovin, and why not like my facebook page and follow me on twitter, the links are all over there!! >>>

Essie 'no chips ahead' Top Coat - Review

Hello, Sorry today's post is a bit late going up, I just haven't had time to write any posts. But anyway here it is haha.

First of all I want to say a big HELLO to all my lovely new readers! :) and Thank you for all the lovely comments you have been leaving, just makes it all feel worth it! :)

Anyway on to the post haha. So if you have been reading my little blog for a while you will know that me and nail varnish have a love hate relationship, I love wearing it but my nails hate it! for some reason i just can't seem to get it to last and it always chips like the next day and it really annoys me! At work I have to have perfect nails and because my nails are so bad at keeping polish on I just  haven't been wearing it, Until I found this little beauty!
The first time I used this I fell in love! I painted my nails on the Saturday after I got it, and I only took it off because I couldn't have the colour I had on for work! no chips at all! I even had grow out at the bottom! I never get grow out haha! small things!

'Extends a manicure for up to 10 days more resistant against chipping'

^^ it really does!

It is on the more expensive side, being £8.99 but I say worth it!! I know I will be buying it over and over again!
I seriously can't say a bad word about it! :)

Do you have a favourite top coat?

Please remember to follow through bloglovin!! :)

Lets have a chat...

Hello Lovelies :)
So today's post is just a little chit chat post, I have been so busy with work that I just haven't had the time to plan and write any posts for this week so I just thought I would open my laptop and just type and see where it goes. I like reading posts like this so why not write one myself.

Well first of all I want to say a massive THANK YOU and HELLO to all my new wonderful readers! Its always makes me day when I log on to see comments or new followers! Just makes it all seem so worth while! I mean I write my blog because I love to do it and share what I love with you guys but it feels so good to know that people read it and want to read more! :) Its a good feeling. I know I promised a 200 followers giveaway and that's still going to happen, I'm just trying to decide what to giveaway...its harder than I though! and also how to run the giveaway, any tips?

Oh so I went out on my lunch break today with a plan to go and find some new shoes, the ones I have for work have really seen their day! I came back with this..
I think oops is the right work to use! I have been looking and researching bronzers for ages now and I just couldn't find one that I liked, I had been recommended to go and try the BareMinerals ones for ages but i always thought they looks too dark, you all know how pale my skin it!! But I popped into John Lewis and went to talk to the lady there, she was so lovely and helpful! I will do a full review on this if you want after I have used it but I'm so excited to start using it! I think I might get my everyday pressed powder from them as well, they all looked amazing as well! This little gift box cost £30 but if had just purchased a single bronzer it would have been £24 so for an extra £6 I got a double bronzer and lip balm and the brush! Amazing if you ask me :D
Have any of you ever tried BareMinerals product if so whats your favourite?

I also recently brought a new Essie polish! It's not very exciting but Its perfect for work, we have a very stricked dress code and sadly I can't get bright colours :(
Its Essie's 'Mademoiselle' just a really pretty natural colour, it gives the illusion of 'naked' nails as I like to call it, but I just think this makes them look healthier...agree? I also got an Essie 'no chip' top coat which so fair has been amazing! again I will be doing a review soon! :)

So after a long and stressful 2 weeks these have made me feel a bit better! I have a week off starting Saturday and it can't come soon enough! I'm exhausted!!

I hope you have all had a good June so far! and making the most of the sunshine when it decides to show its lovely face! :)

My next post should be an empties post so keep an eye out for that on Friday! :)

Lots of Love

My top 5 Nail Polishes || Spring and Summer

If you have been following my blog from the beginning you will know how much I love painting my nails, so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you my favorite 5 for spring and summer! :)
L2R -
BarryM - Rasberry
Essie - Penny Talk
No7 - Devils Delight
TopShop - Cafe Au Lait
Barry M - Berry
I used 2 coats to get this colour. I love this colour for winter and summer, as you know spring and summer in England isn't always the hotest of times! so this colour works well all year round, You can go wrong with a good burgandy :)
I got this polish in a GlosstBox, its my first Essie polish and I am so impressed. I only need one coat to get full colour and it lasts forever on my nails! :) The photo really doesnt do the colour justice! It looks a lot more rose gold in real life.
This is my go to red polish! Only need one coat to get the bottle colour! and the brush as a wide flat brush which makes it so easy and quick to put on! Can't go wrong with red!!
This is my own and only topshop polish, I do want to get more though! The picture doesnt show it but it have gold flexes in it and loosk beautiful when its in sunlight! In the picure I only have 2 coats on, thats how I like to wear it however with 3 coats you can get the bottle colour! :) Again it has a flat and wide brush so its so easy to apply! :)
I adore this colour so much! Its the closet to blue that I can wear without looking dead! Because I have pale skin I cant really wear blues but I adore this lilac colour! :) I have used 2 coats in this picture and I think thats all you need :)

So there you go :) I hope you liked this post :)
Do you want to know a secret? I only ever painted on hand for these pictures! haha shhh!! Glad I didnt forget and just go out!

Lots of love
