The Body Shop - All-in-One BB Cream

Hello PPB's

I got a little review for you today! :) I have seen this popping up everywhere recently and as  blogger I obviously had to go buy it and try it....right?

Anyway excuses out of they way. I trotted over to The Body Shop on my lunch break last week to and picked it up. I have always been a bit funny and hard to please when it comes to BB creams, I find them to be greasy on my skin and they just don't do much for me so I was a bit optimistic about trying, but with it only being £12 I thought it was worth a try.
Lets start with the packaging, I really like it, I love simple packaging, I just think it looks much better, much more professional, its also much overly big so it fits nicely into a make up bag or slips into your bag, because you really don't need a lot either just because the tube is small doesn't mean it won't last very long. The only thing I'm not to keen on is the fact that it shows every little finger print, I don't know about you but that really bugs me I like clean make up.

Okay application, they suggest applying it with a sponge or a brush for the best result, I have tried brush and also just using my fingers and both have worked just as well for me. It does blend really well, but you do have to focus on your hair line as I found it would cling to my little baby hairs and left that darker line is some areas, but if you really blend it in its easy to fix. It leaves my skin with a lovely natural soft look and just with a little bit of concealer under my eyes and some powder to set and I'm ready to go. The only thing I noticed about this is that, I have uneven skin tone and when I first put it on I find it made the red parts of my skin much more obvious, no one else said they could see it, but I could haha. The second time I used it I used a powder first and them applied the cream and found it to give a much nice even finish.

Does it last? Because its such a light coverage, they say its a medium cover but I would disagree and say its a light coverage, medium if you conceal and powder over the top. You don't really notice if it wears off like you would a foundation. I really liked this and found just topping up my powder through out the day kept we with a fresh face.
The formula itself comes out white, I can see lots of tiny little red/pinks dots in it to, so I think this is what makes it match your skin tone. It's advertised as a 'colour-adapting tinted cream' which I would see as okay one for everyone, but they do have 4 'shade' 00, 01, 02, 03, so I'm guessing its those little red dots that are different in each shade. The formula also includes Marula oil which makes it hydrating and smooth for your skin.

'MARULA OIL
We work with the Eudofano Women’s Co-operative in Ondangwa, Northern Namibia, to source our Community Fair Trade marula oil. The marula tree is held to be sacred to the people of Ovamboland, and Namibian women have traditionally used marula oil for generations to smooth and moisturise their skin. Now the 1750 Namibian women of the Eudofano Co-operative are building a business and a future on the ancient wisdom of marula. The oil they produce is cold-pressed to preserve its high quality, and enriches our products with its hydrating and smoothing properties.'

Over all I do really like this product and think its perfect for those day where you don't want to put on a full face of make up but want to look presentable in case someone pops round for a cuppa and lets me honest with a price like this you can't really go wrong :)
Let me know what you think of it if you've used it!

Urban Decay - Basics Palette

Hello PPB's

I have been admiring the Urban Decay palettes for years, but I could never find a reason to purchase any. With the Naked palettes at the top of every beauty bloggers wish list I just couldn't spend that much money of 3 palettes of which I would probably only use 5 or 6 of the shadows.
I'm very nervous when it comes to eye shadow and I like to stick to the nudes and subtle colours, so when I found out about the basics palette I had to get it. It was exactly what I was looking for and so much cheaper only being £20!!
So fair my favourite shades are Foxy, Walk of Shame and Naked 2, I use all of these everyday, I also used Naked 2 on my eyebrows! :)

I'm so happy with the palette and if your like me and can't really spend a lot of palettes you wont use much, this is perfect! :)

Lots of Love

Review || Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer

Hello PPB's! Long time no speak!

Today's post is about a product I picked up because I had no money and needed a new concealer, I haven't seen many, if any posts on this product before so when I used it, I was surprised to see how good it is!

As you can tell from the title the product is Match Perfection concealer by Rimmel.
This concealer has now become a must have in my make up bag! I have been looking for a concealer that I love for ages! and I've picked up all the once that bloggers have raved about and yes liked them but they haven't quiet been right for me, so I really wasn't expecting the concealer I picked up just to 'do' until I got paid to be the one I now can't live without!
I love the brush applicator, I find it so much nicer to use and its so quick and easy to apply and blend in! To blend this in I simply use my finger, I find this the best way and blend it in evenly and leaving me with a smooth even finish. I use this concealer under my eyes around my nose on my chin and anywhere else I may have a imperfection. The coverage of this product is amazing! If someone has ever said that a concealer is complete coverage I never believe, I have never found one that does completely cover a blemish and I'm not saying this one does completely hide a blemish but it does a very good job at disguising them. It works wonders under my eyes, helping me look like I've had a full nights sleep when I've probably only had 5/6 hours.
The concealer has a thick and creamy consistency which means you only need to use a small amount for a good coverage, this obviously means that it last a long time! :)

I also use this product as a highlight, so after I have applied my foundation I reapply under my eyes just for a bit more coverage and then use it on the bridge of my nose and on my cheek bones, leaving me with a lovely glow!
I honestly don't think I had a bad word to say about this product! :)

I obviously picked mine up from Boots and it cost £5.99

Have you tried this concealer? What did you think?

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation - First Impressions Review.

Hello PPB's! :)

In this months Company Magazine there was a small sample of the new 'Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation' now I have been wanting to get a new foundation for A/W, one that's got a bit more coverage, so I thought what a perfect time to do a review post, 1) So I can try out the foundation to see if I like it and 2) To help you guys choose a A/W foundation, because if you anything like me, you change up your foundations for different seasons! :)
So as you can see it was only a small sample, probably enough for 2 applications for me. Also how lucky that it came in the perfect colour for me! That never happens!
The foundation is quite thick, I was expecting it to be a lot like the Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse, which is some way it is, but I found it alot easier to work with, its a lot lighter in thickness terms compared the the dream matte mouse, its like in between a cream foundation and the mouse. I really liked it for that, easy to blend and build up! I use my fingers to first apply it and then I blended it out with the Real Techniques expert face brush, it was so nice to blend in and spread really evenly leaving me with even coverage with a matte finish!
I honestly thought it was going to be quite drying again because that's what the dream matte mouse is like for me, but its so moisturising even around my nose which always looks dry no matter what I use! I would say its a medium coverage, but can be built on to created a fuller coverage.
Photo 1 - 9:45am
So easy to layer the rest of my days make up over and still left with a matte finish. The other make up I'm wearing is Benefit - The Porefessionals, Rimmel Wake me up concealer, Natural collection pressed powerder, Eylure eyebrow pencil in medium to dark blonde, BareMinerals Ready Bronzer/Luminizer combo, Maybelline Dream Touch blush in 02, Lancome Doll Eye Effect Mascara, Bombshell eyeliner pen in onyx (September Glossybox)
For this day I didn't touch up any of my make up through out the day because I wanted to see how it wore and show it in the pictures.
Photo 2 - 11am
The weather this day was horrible, rainy and cold and windy, you can tell from the hair! Curls have pretty much gone! However foundation and make up still going strong, Still no drying around my nose and eyes and still Matte! I also think the colour match its pretty good, having pale skin I really do struggle to get foundations that don't look orange on me, but I found this one made a perfect colour having my powder over the top!
Photo 3 - 6:30pm
So after a day at work and a very stressful bus ride back to the car, and a now very tired Cara I am so impressed with this foundation, by the end of the day my nose had started to look a bit dry but nothing like it normally does and the only places the started to show shine was my nose and under my eyes, but I rub my eyes a lot so I probably rubbed it off! However my blush and bronzer had not moved or faded, I know that's probably not all to do with the foundation but I normally find that as the foundation wears off that I'm wearing obviously my other face make up fades and wears off too.

I really do love this foundation so much more than I thought I was going to! I think I am going to purchase a full size to use this A/W I like it that much!

Have you tried this Foundation? What were your first thoughts? Also if any of you have any tips for keeping curls in let me know! :)

M.A.C lippy collection

Hello PPB's! :)
Hope you're all having a lovely evening! Today I really didn't know what to blog about, hence why the post is late! (sorry about that) So I have been trying to thing of something to blog about since I got home from work, as you can probably tell from the picture above oh and the title of the post, thats a little bit of a giveaway! I decided to share with you all my M.A.C lipstick collection.
Like most BBloggers I do have little addiction however my bank balance doesn't cope with this addiction very well so my collection is only small.
My collection includes;
(L2R)
Viva Glam 1
Viva Glam Nicki
Girl About Town
Cosmo
Faux
Eden Rouge
I'll start with Faux because it was my first ever M.A.C Lippy, You can already tell its also one of my favourites! This lipstick is perfect for everyday wear and thats exactly what I use it for! For work, shopping, out for a meal, no make up day, I will always probably have this on! For me is it the perfect,'my lips but better' kind of colour. I do find it to be a little drying, but keep a balm close at hand it all is good! Faux is a Satin Lipstick and has a pretty matte finish, however with a little bit of gloss over the top to just dress it up a little bit looks just a perfect.
I haven't got a close up picture of the the next on, Eden Rouge (the red one laying down), I brought this one at the same time as Faux, i had gone into the store as ask for a everyday colour and an evening colour and these 2 are the ones I came out with. Eden Rough is a deep matte red, Honestly I haven't worn it much! Not going to lie it does scare me a little bit haha! I also need to get a red lip liner before I wear it because it gets everywhere!!
Moving onto my FAVOURITE lippy ever! Girl About Town, I have done a full review already so I will link that and not ramble too much because I could go on and on, Its a perfect fuchsia and I adore how it looks on me!
Next I have Cosmo. This is very similar to Faux on it has more of a red tone to it rather than the brown tone that faux has. Again I use this as an everyday lippy, if I'm feeling abit bolder I will use this. Its an Amplified Lippy and I find it leaves a beautiful lightly glossed look, its not matte but its not glossy...if that makes sense?
On the right...is Viva Glam Nicki. I bought this one because a friend of mine has it and it looks stunning on her....on me...not so much! as much as I love the colour, I just can't wear it due to my pale skin. It just doesn't work for me, but I can't bring myself to sell it, haha. It is a Satin lipstick and leave a stunning shine, I really do wish I could wear it, I think I need to find a way I can. :)
On the Left ...is Viva Glam 1, I love this lipstick and again I have already done a post on it..Link..I find it strange that I can confidently wear this dark rich red, but I shy away from the light red...hmm..just me?

M.A.C lipsticks I do believe are all £14..unless they have gone up again since I last went in.

I hope you have liked this post :) let me know in the comments what your favourite M.A.C lippy is or what you favourite colour of lippy is :)

Also remember to follow with bloglovin! :)

June Favourites

So its that time again! I can't believe how quickly this year is going!! Seriously slow down!

OK. Stright into the favourites :)
Who doesn't love the realTechnique brushes! I am addicted! I want to collect them all! I love how they make my make up look and how easy they make application! My collection includes; Stippling Brush, Blush Brush, Powder Brush, Setting Brush and my newest addition The expert face brush! To be honest the only thing that bugs me about them is they are so hard to store because of their flat bottoms! I want realTechniques to bring out a brush wrap to make traveling with them easier!
I haven't ever really tried an cream products so the Maybelline DreamTouch Blush is my first! I can't remember the name if this exact colour, its doesn't say anywhere on the packaging but I know its number 2 haha :) Its a peachy blush. I think this is turning into my favourite blush ever! I really like how the cream blush looks on the cheek  and how easy they are to apply and to build. I use the realTechniques stippling brush to apply it. Its staying power is also pretty good! It makes the cheeks look s dewy! :) love it!
Now you all know how long I have been looking for a good Bronzer for! I popped in to John Lewis and happened to go to the BareMinerals counter. This is my first BareMinerals product and I am so impressed! Its the Bronzer and Luminizer compact, its perfect for my pale complection. I use the matte side to contore and I mix both sizes together and lightly brush them all over my face and neck, I use the Brush that came with it to contore and my realTechniques Blush brush to dust over my face. Its leave me with the perfet lightly bronzed face, which lets me honest I'm not going to get in England naturally this 'Summer' haha. After using this I want to go and have a look at more BareMinerals products. Is there any that your lovelies would recommend?

So just a quick favourites post today :) I have used these products everyday and can't imagen not using them everyday!

Link me your favourites posts if you done one in the comments I love reading them! :) Thank you for reading mine! :)

Don't forget to follow through Bloglovin...if you want to haha :) but it sure would make me smile! I'm so close to 100 followers on there! :) Let me know if you do! Also I would love it if you could go and like my facebook page :) LIKE

Empty Products #1

Firstly who is as sad as me that GFC is going!! :( I love knowing how many people read my blog. So I was wondering if you would all be amazing and follow my blog through bloglovin? pretty please :)
Thank you :)
Anyway I haven't done an empties post before (that I can remember) but since I have been on my scheduled post plan I have decided to add some posts that I can do little series for and this is one of them :).
I have been keeping all of my empty products in a little bag next to my dressing table so I can just drop them in as they finish :)
The Products
Redken Extreme Shampoo
Loreal Elnett Satin Hairspray
Elf Eyebrow and Clear mascara
Balance me Eye Cream
Lancome Doll Eyes Mascara Waterproof
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Beautiful movements prime and create mixing medium
Mac Blot Powder
Redken extreme shampoo has been a god send for me! This is my second bottle and I seriously couldn't live without it! It really has saved my hair! I did a post all about it HERE so I wont ramble on! :)
I had only ever heard good things about Loreal Elnett hairsprays, I normally just went for cheap hairspray, but I got this one when it was on offer in boots. To be honest I don't really get the hype, Yes it smells better than most and yes I doesn't leave your hair crispy and crunchy, but it really didn't keep a style in my hair, I was really disappointed in this :(. Sadly I wont be rushing out to buy another one :(
Elf Eyebrow and Clear Mascara I will be purchasing again! I didn't actually use the one that's meant for mascara as mascara though...did that make sense?... and I used the brush that was meant for mascara for my eyebrows, I just preferred the shape of the brush. I love this stuff, it kept my eyebrows fixed in place all day and did leave any residue on my eyebrows which I have found some eyebrow gels to do! :) AND its super cheap! bonus!!!
I got the Balance me eye cream in a glossybox, It claims to sooth, brighten and lift your under eyes, I have to say I liked it, I used it every morning before make up and i just found it to help with under eye bags, it helped make my eyes look more awake, I wont purchase it again I didn't think it was amazing, but it was really ncie to be able to try it! Thanks Glossybox
Onto Lancome Doll Eye Mascara..Well this is seriously my favourite mascara! I brought the waterproof one because I find normal mascara smudges on my pretty badly through out the day but the waterproof one stays  put all day! The effect it gives the lashes is beautiful! so natural and full, the perfect flutter lashes! :)
I brought Benefit's They're real mascara honestly because it had had so many good reviews and I gave it to them haha, I does live up to its reviews, its gives thick long lashes. I have brought 2 bottles of this however I don't think I will get it again, I just find it makes me lashes very spider leg like, I prefere the softer 'butterfly wing' look.
Again I got the Beautiful Movements prime and mixing medium in a glossybox. You can use it to make powder products into cream and as a primer, I used this as a primer, It leaves your skin looking matte and I love that finish, I think it looks cleaner and fresher on my face and it made my make up last pretty much all day! I really want to get this in full size, Hopefully next month :)
Finally Mac Blot powder, I love this, its just a light finishing powder or it can just be used on its own if you want really light coverage just to stop shineyness. It lasted ages! and I was so upset when it ran out, I guess the only bonus being i'm now one empty pot closer to getting a free lipstick!! :D

I hope you have liked this post! I really enjoyed remembering my I like these products or not liked so much :)

Please don't forget to follow on bloglovin!
