August Glossybox '14

Well hello there my little beauties!
I hope you're all well :) Who else is as upset as me about the weather! I even wanted to wear a scarf today! I refused to let myself! It's still August it is against the law to wear a scarf right! I just so glad I have a holiday at the end of September to to look forward to!

So..It's Glossy time again! :) and its Glossybox's 3rd birthday!

Krayolan For Glossybox - Highlighter in Cashmere
'This highlighter is a versatile, lightweight cream was with gloss finish. It provides cheekbones, lips and other parts of the skin with a beautiful velvety shine.'

I have never used a highlighter before, I'm not the biggest fan of the dewy look, I much prefer matte finishes so I've just never felt the need to go out and buy one. Following that I still haven't tried this out. It does feel lovely when I tried it on my hand (everyone does that right?) I have also tried it on my lips as it says it can be used there too, however I didn't really like the finish it left. I guess I will have to use it and see how I get on.

Full Size £12.95

Figs & Rouge - Mini Hand Cream
'These hand creams are enriched with shea butter, natural antioxidants and algae extract for beautifully fragrant and indigent skincare. Softens, nourishes & thoroughly pampers hands throughout the day!'

I adore Figs & Rouge products they always smell amazing and feel amazing on the skin, this is no different, The mango and Mandarin scent in this is so lovely it smells edible! (its not don't try eat it) and it leaves my hand feeling so soft and a big thumbs up for me is it doesn't leave my hands feeling greasy after I'm applied it, I really hate that you put hand cream on and then feel like you can't do anything for a while and just stand there will your hands air dry...The only thing I will say about this and its probably just one of my weird dislikes, but when you first start to rub in in your hands, it makes your hands squeeze and almost feel rubbery...bit strange..but I really don't like that feel. Apart from that... LOVE..

Full Size £6.95

Yves Rocher - Pink Nail Polish in 'Rose'
Picture from Instagram @pollypocketx91

'Mini Polish, Maxi colour! Part of a palette of nude, vibrant or glamorous shades, slightly shimmery or intensely lacquered, Their mini format let you succumb to the temptation of all the colours guile-free'

When I first saw this I was a bit disappointed to be honest, I find it as hard tower pale pinks because of my pale skin...but...when I put it on I have now fallen completely in love with this polish! the colour is so beautiful! I've finally found a pale pink that I can wear!! Yay!! It says you only need to put on my coat and okay you could probably get away with that but I always like to put 2 on just to get the full colour experience! :) The picture above is with 2 coats! :) I will be buying this again when  it runs out!

Full Size - £3.60

Philip Kingsley - Elasticizer
not sure why my nail looks like its about to die and fall off... haha

'Originally created specifically for Aurdery Hepburn, this pre-shampoo treatment delivers unrivalled elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine without weighing town or coating the hair..'

When I first saw this and you will know if you watched my YouTube video unboxing I first thought this was a Shampoo and I got very excited, however if I am completely honest I don't think I will even use this as a pre-shampoo treatment. To use it, you apply it before shampooing to wet hair in the mid and ends of your hair. Cover it with a shower cap or towel and leave in for 20 minutes or more. Then just wash hair as normal but it also says if you have very fine hair to shampoo twice. To me this is a lot of hassle and time that I don't have, I normal have to wash my hair quickly before going to work and very rarely do I have time to sit with a mask or treatment on it before. Also I do have very fine hair and it just makes me a bit nervous. I may try it but I just don't know when.

Full Size - £38

Lalique L'Amour
'This soft, sensual fragrance has delicate top notes of rosebuds laced with fresh bergamot, white floral heart notes and a musk base note. This fragrance captures the essence of love'

This perfume is very floral, I'm not the biggest fan of floral scents, don't get me wrong it does smell lovely in the bottle but on me they just don't seem to ever smell good! Also this one is a dabby bottle so when you put it on your skin just just dribbles down your arm or down your neck haha, I do love a little spray bottle more!

Full Size £67

Essence Longlasting Lipstick - Natural beauty
'Essence longlasting lipstick provides your lips with intensive colour for several hours without drying them out..'

I always get excited when a lipstick appears in my Glossybox, I'm a sucker for a lipstick! :) I wore this today at work and I love it! The colour is perfect for me and it feels so creamy on the lips. I wouldn't say it doesn't dry out my lips at all, it does a little bit, or it did at work but I guess that could have been the air con too. :)

Full Size - £2.29

Glossybox July '14

Good Afternoon PPB's

Firstly fellow Englanders, am I the only per on who keeps missing these amazing thunderstorms and just waking up to all the pictures over social media! There are a few little rumbles happening while I type this so maybe I will be awake for one soon haha!

Anyway on to the point, Glossybox day arrived once again and I am probably the last person to put this post up because I am an awful blogger! haha.
I really really loved this months box and so far I have nearly only read good reviews on it too! The theme this month was America, obviously inspired by the 4th July! I don't know about you but there are so many products I have always wanted to try from America that you just can't get here or the post and packaging is more than the product itself and I'm just too poor for that.
(oh its started raining pretty heavy...and there is a louder rumble)
So when I found out about the theme on this box I get pretty excited for Glossy day to arrive :)

I used my new camera to take these pictures and I'm still learning with it so some of the lighting may be abit strange so apologies for that but we all have to learn! :) haha
Such a cute box! :) I always won't to find something I can use the glossy boxes for because they are such good boxes and the themed ones are always adorable!
In the box;

Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm - I pretty sure you can get Carmex here but I don't think we can get the whole range of products they offer. I have been using this everyday since and I love it! I've always loved Carmex products they never fail me :)

Color Club Nail Lacquer in Glossy Seal - I had never heard of this brand before so I didn't really know what to expect from this. The polish formula is lovely, one coat is all you need. But sadly as you will know if you read PPB a lot is I can't wait blue! Pale skin and blue polish just really doesn't work. So this will never be worn by myself :(

Bellápierre® Cosmetics in Mandaring - I love this!! Orange is my favourite colour and orange lipstick just makes me so happy so when I saw this a massive smile appeared on my face! It's so creamy and the wear is lovely! :)
It looks quite red in the picture but its a beautiful matte orange! agh I love it!! The only thing I will say is its a little smudgy so I'd advice a lip liner :)

Absolute Eyeshadow primer - I've never used an eye primer before *slaps hand* so getting this was the perfect time to start, I do like it however I don't really like the feel a greasy eyelids and I find this gives me just that. Don't get me wrong it does what it says on the tin but I just don't like how it feels.

Last but not least and the most exciting for me Tarte lights camera lashes mascara - I have seen so many YouTubers using this and I always love the results they get from it. I did a little scream inside when I saw this!!! If your after a thick lash look I wouldn't recommend this but for a light summer lash its perfect and that's the exact eye I love! :)

What did you get in your box?
Ps. I think you should follow me on twitter and Instagram :) find me on both with @pollypocketx91

Glossybox June '14

Hello my lovely PPb's

I hope your all well! It's Glossy time again! :) This months theme is 'Summer is here' Well I don't think the weather in England completely agrees with this its been a bit confused recently. Anyway I really liked today's box :)
NailGirls - 3-in-1 base/topcoat & nail strengthener £13.50 - You can never have to many clear polishes in my opinion, Its always what I run out of first and always forget to buy more. Even more so a strengthening polish is even better for me. I'm excited to see if this works, for £13.50 I sure hope it does! I used it over the top of my currently colour when I opened the box and at first site it leaves a lovely finish, very shiny.
got2b - Rise 'n Shine soufflé - £4.07 - This is a hair styling product that's meant to help with styling and body. Hair products you use of dry hair always make me really nervous, but I'm going to give this a go and see if it works. As you all know I have pretty fine hair so anything that's meant to boost the body I am always going to try out.
Teeez Trend Cosmetics - Flat Stiff Brush - €19 - This brush is very pretty, I'm excited to give it a go and see the finish it leaves. After first feel it is very stiff and I don't know how I will get on with it, I really do likely soft fluffy brushes.
So Susan Cosmetics - Universal Blush - £18 - This blush is so pretty and beautiful dusty pink with light gold shimmer in it, perfect for that summer glow, I can't wait to wear this, I really hope it works on my pale skin!
Roger&Gallet - Fleur de Figuier discovery ritual, shower cream, Body lotion, Eau Fraíche Fragrance - £9.50, £13 and £32 - If I'm completely honest, I'm not to keen on getting perfume samples, I'm so fussy when it comes to fragrance and I waste of lot of the samples. This one is a very floral scent and not very me, it may grow on me but after first smell I'm not in love.

Over all I really like this box, I'm most excited about the blush!

Glossybox January '14 - Back to Basics

Hello PPB's

It's that time again! :) Glossybox day! I for one love coming home from a long a day at work to find my Glossybox neatly placed on my bed, ready for me to open and find the treasures inside! :) Today was not different. Glossybox have also had a little make over this year and I love it!
(sorry about the bad pictures, my camera was having a bad lighting day)

The new boxes are a baby pink were as the old boxes were much more of a dusty pink, this is the only think I preferred on old box, mainly because the dusty pink went better with my room, but I love the deeper box and the way the lid pretty much covers the whole box. :) On top of the box it now says Glossybox with the symbol and there is also lovely new ribbon.
Anyway onto what matters, the content.
I really like this months box. Here is what I got.

Yu-Be Moisturising skin cream - This a a multi-use cult moisturising cream from Japan, from the sounds of it, its Japans answer for Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream. I obviously tried this straight away on my lips and it seems really nice, very conditioning on the lips, they felt so soft and soothed about I applied it, I'm excited to use this more, also love the fact there are 2 samples int he box, one sample this size is never normally enough :) This can be found at www.onestopbeauty.co.uk and costs £13.50 for 33g.

Balance Me Super toning body wash - I don't really like getting body washes in beauty boxes, I have so many little samples of body washes, this is has a blend of juniper, bermagmot, geranium and lavender essential oils in it, I don't really like the smell, but then I don't really like Lavender so that's probably why. It can be used as a wash in the shower or put it in your bath and soak in it. I did just that and getting past the smell, it did make my skin feel very nice while int he bath, it feels very silky on the skin. I just wish I liked the smell. This can be found at www.balanceme.co.uk and costs £10.25 for 250ml.

Anatomicals Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer Wake-up Under Eye Patches - These make me very excited! If you follow me on twitter you will know I have been looking for an eye cream to help with my tired eyes and under eye bags, I am yet to find one I like or that doesn't sting my eyes. I'm so excited to use these, It says to apply them to cleansed skin leave for 30 mins and then gently remove, it claims to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and revitalise the delicate skin round your eyes, Obviously its the revitalising I'm excited about, I can't wait to try these and will be doing a full post on them after :) I hope I like them! These can be found at www.asos.com and cost £6 for a 3 pack.

Vaseline Essentials Moisture Lotion - Not much to say about this, we all know Vaseline moisturisers are amazing and smell lovely, I love that this is a cute travel size though! perfect for the handbag and travel bag! This on is the Pure oats extract and Stratys one, I've never used this one before, I normally just go for the coco butter ones, I like to play it safe and get things I know I like the smell of...Can you tell I'm funny about scents?... This can be find in Boots www.boots.com and only costs £4.99 for 400ml

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Floral Slanted Tweezers - These are so cute! You can never have to many pairs of tweezers because if your anything like me I always lose mine when I need them post, I'm going to keep these ones in my handbag at all times then I'll know where a pair are all the time. I took a closer picture of them because they are just so cute!
My nail varnish btw is Essie bahama mama if your wondering. I tried the tweezers out and they seem really good as I would hope as they cost £8! Find that at www.thevintagecosmeticcompany.co.uk.

Over all I'm very happy with this months box :) A good start to the new year for Glossybox I think, a lovely new look and lovely products inside. What did you get in your box this month?

Lots of Love
